Odoo implementation Saudi Arabia

Odoo set up for how Saudi companies run day to day

Odoo is quick to start and easy to over-customize. We configure the apps you need, connect ZATCA e-invoicing, load clean data and keep custom code to the few places it earns its keep.

The direct answer

Odoo implementation is setting up Odoo's modular business apps (accounting, sales, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, HR) so one system holds your operations. It fits small and mid-size Saudi companies that want to move faster than a large ERP allows. We configure the modules, localize for Saudi tax and Arabic, migrate your data and support the system afterwards.

Before and after

What this removes.

Five tools that do not talk

Today

Sales uses one app, the warehouse another, accounting a third, and a person retypes between them.

With the system

Quotes become orders, orders become deliveries, deliveries become invoices, all in one record trail.

Invoices are made by hand for ZATCA

Today

Someone exports sales, formats a file and uploads it, hoping the rules have not changed.

With the system

Invoices are generated in the standard format, signed and sent to ZATCA when they are confirmed.

A first Odoo setup became a mess

Today

Custom fields and patches piled up until nobody dared upgrade.

With the system

Standard apps first, a short list of approved custom modules, and an upgrade path written down.

Staff will not use an English-only system

Today

Warehouse and branch teams work in Arabic and avoid screens that do not.

With the system

Arabic right-to-left screens, labels and printed documents, with English kept for management.

What we build

What lands in your hands.

Module configuration

Accounting, sales, purchase, inventory and the extras you actually need, switched on in a sensible order.

Saudi localization

Chart of accounts, VAT, Arabic invoices and ZATCA e-invoicing set up and tested.

Data migration

Customers, suppliers, products and opening balances cleaned and imported with checks.

Custom modules

Small, documented Odoo modules for gaps the standard apps leave, written to upgrade cleanly.

Integrations

Payment gateways, shipping, e-commerce stores and banks connected through APIs.

Hosting and backup

Odoo.sh, a managed server or in-Kingdom hosting, with backups that we restore-test.

In depth

How it works, and what to decide.

Odoo edition and hosting: the two early decisions

Odoo comes as Community and Enterprise. Community is free software with a smaller feature set. Enterprise adds licensed apps and features such as the fuller accounting tools, studio, and official support. For most Saudi companies the question is not price alone, but which accounting and localization features you need on day one. We compare your requirements to each edition in a short assessment and tell you plainly where Community would leave gaps you would then fill with custom work.

Hosting is the second decision. Odoo Online and Odoo.sh run on Odoo's own cloud, which is simple but may not meet a customer's requirement to keep data inside the Kingdom. Self-hosting on a Saudi cloud region or in your own facility gives you control of location, backups and access, and it carries the work of patching and monitoring. We set up either, and we take on the operations if you want us to.

Indicative effort for this assessment is one to two weeks. The output is a one-page recommendation on edition, hosting and module list, and a fixed scope.

Standard first, custom only where it pays

Odoo is easy to bend, and that is its main risk. Each custom field, automated action and patched view is something you carry through every version upgrade. We configure the standard apps and run short sessions where your team uses them on real examples. Only then do we list the true gaps and price each one against changing the process instead.

Anything that does need code is written as a separate Odoo module, in version control, with tests and a short readme. That keeps core files untouched and makes upgrades predictable. You receive the source for these modules; the code is yours.

Typical timelines: a trading company with accounting, sales, purchase and inventory goes live in about six to ten weeks. Adding manufacturing, multi-warehouse routes or several companies extends this to ten to fourteen weeks. Data quality is the usual cause of slippage, so we start cleaning supplier, customer and product lists in the first week, not the last.

Saudi accounting, ZATCA and Arabic

A Saudi Odoo setup needs the right chart of accounts and tax configuration for VAT, correct fiscal reports, and invoices that carry the fields ZATCA requires. Odoo provides localization for Saudi Arabia, and we configure and test it against your actual invoice types: standard tax invoices for businesses, simplified invoices for consumers, credit and debit notes.

E-invoicing under the integration phase means each invoice is produced as structured XML, cryptographically stamped, and either cleared by ZATCA before it reaches the buyer or reported within the required window, depending on invoice type. We onboard your devices or solution units to the ZATCA platform, run the compliance checks, and test with sample invoices before production.

Arabic is built in from setup: right-to-left screens, bilingual product names, Arabic-capable fonts on PDF documents, and Hijri date display where you need it. Hosting and personal data handling follow your obligations under the Personal Data Protection Law, and we document where data sits.

Buyer questions

Asked before signing.

Community or Enterprise: which should we choose?

It depends on the accounting and localization features you need on day one, and whether you want official support. We compare your requirements to both editions in a short assessment and tell you plainly where Community would need custom work.

How long does an Odoo implementation take?

A trading company with accounting, sales, purchase and inventory usually goes live in six to ten weeks. Manufacturing, several warehouses or multiple companies push it to ten to fourteen weeks. Data cleanup is the usual cause of delay.

Does Odoo handle ZATCA e-invoicing and Arabic?

Yes. Odoo has Saudi localization and Arabic right-to-left support, and we configure and test it with your invoice types, onboard to the ZATCA platform and run sample invoices through compliance checks before production.

Who owns the custom modules we pay for?

You do. Custom Odoo modules are delivered with their source in your repository, with tests and a short readme, so another developer can maintain them. Nothing is locked to us.

Can you host and support Odoo after launch?

Yes. We can host Odoo in the Kingdom or on the platform of your choice, run backups with restore tests, apply patches, monitor uptime and plan each Odoo version upgrade with you on a support plan.

Ready to run your business on one Odoo system?

Send us your current tools, user count and the modules you need. We will come back with an edition, hosting plan and fixed scope.
