enterprise portal development

One front door for everyone who deals with you

Customers chase statements by email. Suppliers ask where their payment is. Staff open five systems to answer one question. We build a single portal on top of your existing systems, so each person sees their own data and can act on it without calling anyone.

The direct answer

An enterprise portal is a secure web application where a defined group, such as customers, suppliers or employees, signs in to see their own records and complete tasks. It fits companies whose people spend time answering status questions by phone and email. We build the portal on top of your ERP, CRM or databases, with role-based access, Arabic and English, and an audit trail.

Before and after

What this removes.

Your team is a human status line

Today

Staff answer the same questions about orders, invoices and approvals all day, by phone and email.

With the system

People look it up themselves in the portal, and your team handles only real exceptions.

Suppliers and partners onboard by email chain

Today

Documents arrive as attachments, expire unnoticed and sit in individual inboxes.

With the system

A guided onboarding collects, validates and tracks documents, with reminders before expiry.

Everyone sees too much or too little

Today

Shared spreadsheets and shared logins expose data to the wrong people, with no record of who did what.

With the system

Each user sees only what their role allows, and every action is logged.

Employees live in five separate tools

Today

Leave, requests, payslips and approvals each sit in a different place with a different password.

With the system

One sign-in leads to everything, with the same look in Arabic and English.

What we build

What lands in your hands.

Identity and access

Single sign-on, multi-factor sign-in and fine-grained roles per user group.

Self-service views

Orders, invoices, statements, tickets and contracts drawn live from your systems.

Document management

Upload, validation, versioning and expiry reminders for every document type.

Request and approval flows

Forms that route to the right approver and record every decision.

Notifications

Email and in-portal alerts for status changes, deadlines and approvals.

Admin console

Your team manages users, content and permissions without developer help.

In depth

How it works, and what to decide.

The portal is a layer, not another database

A portal that stores its own copy of your data creates a second source of truth, and the two drift apart. We build the portal as a layer over your systems of record. It reads from your ERP, CRM or databases through APIs and writes back through the same channels, so a customer sees the same balance your finance team sees.

Where the source system is slow or has no usable API, we add a small synchronization service with a cache, and we show the user when data was last refreshed. Honest freshness is better than a screen that looks live and is not.

A first release covers one user group and its three or four most common tasks, which usually takes eight to fourteen weeks. Further groups and features follow in the same framework, each faster than the last, because identity, layout and permissions are already in place.

Access control and audit decisions you must make early

The hardest part of a portal is not the screens. It is deciding who can see what. We run a short workshop to define user groups, roles and data boundaries before design starts. For example, a customer user sees their company's invoices only, a finance clerk at the customer sees payments, and a supplier sees purchase orders addressed to them.

Sign-in uses single sign-on with your identity provider for staff, and email plus multi-factor authentication for external users. Sessions expire, sensitive actions need re-confirmation, and every view of a sensitive record and every change is written to an audit log your administrators can search.

These choices follow the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard, and for entities covered by the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls we align access management, logging and session handling with those controls. We do not claim approval by the regulator. We build to the requirements and give you the evidence your own auditors will ask for.

Arabic, hosting and personal data

Arabic is a first-class language in the portal, not a translation layer. Layouts mirror correctly right to left, forms accept Arabic names and addresses, dates can show Hijri and Gregorian, and numbers display consistently. Content editors manage both languages from one admin screen.

A portal holds personal data about customers, suppliers and staff, so the Personal Data Protection Law applies. We design a clear consent and notice flow, support access and deletion requests as real features, and limit the fields each role can see. If your policy or your customers require data to stay in the Kingdom, we host the portal and its database in a local cloud region, taking the CST cloud computing framework into account.

Hosting, backups, monitoring and security patching can be run by us after launch or handed to your IT team with runbooks.

The delivery plan

Five stages. You sign off every one.

Read each stage as a small contract: what we need from you, what lands in your hands, and the sentence that has to be true before we move on.

01 / 05

Discovery and access design

2 to 3 weeks

We map user groups, tasks and data sources, and define who can see and do what.

What you do
  • Name the user groups and their top tasks
  • Give access to source system documentation
  • Nominate a business owner
What we deliver
  • User group and role matrix
  • Task priority list
  • Integration plan with your systems
Exit criteria

We move on when the role matrix and first-release scope are signed off.

02 / 05

Design and prototype

2 to 3 weeks

We design the screens in Arabic and English and test a clickable prototype with real users.

What you do
  • Review designs
  • Bring three to five real users to a test session
What we deliver
  • Bilingual design for core screens
  • Usability test findings
Exit criteria

We move on when real users complete their main tasks in the prototype without help.

03 / 05

Build and integrate

4 to 8 weeks

We build the portal, connect it to your systems and ship progress weekly to a staging site.

What you do
  • Review staging weekly
  • Provide test accounts in source systems
What we deliver
  • Working portal on staging
  • Integrations to your ERP or CRM
  • Admin console
Exit criteria

We move on when the main tasks work end to end on staging with real source data.

04 / 05

Security review and pilot

2 to 3 weeks

We test security and permissions, then run a pilot with a small group before opening the doors.

What you do
  • Select pilot users
  • Collect their feedback
What we deliver
  • Security test results with fixes
  • Pilot report
  • Launch checklist
Exit criteria

We move on when no open high-severity findings and pilot users are satisfied.

05 / 05

Launch and grow

ongoing

We launch to the first group, monitor, and add the next group or feature on a regular cadence.

What you do
  • Announce the portal to users
  • Prioritize the next release
What we deliver
  • Production portal
  • Usage reporting
  • Release plan for the next user group
Exit criteria

We move on when the first group uses the portal as their default route.

Buyer questions

Asked before signing.

How much does an enterprise portal cost?

Price depends on the number of user groups, the number of source systems and how many tasks the first release covers. We fix the price after discovery. A single-group portal with one integration costs far less than a multi-group portal with several back ends.

Can the portal use our existing ERP and login system?

Yes. We connect to your ERP or CRM through its APIs, and staff can sign in through your existing identity provider using single sign-on. External users get their own secure accounts managed in the portal.

Will it work properly in Arabic?

Yes. We build right-to-left layouts, Arabic forms, bilingual content and consistent number and date display from the first design. Every user can switch language, and your team edits both versions from one admin console.

Can we add more user groups later?

Yes, and that is the intended path. Identity, roles, layout and notifications are built once, so adding suppliers after customers, or employees after suppliers, reuses most of the foundation and takes much less time.

Who hosts and supports it after launch?

Either of us. We can host it in a Saudi cloud region and run monitoring, backups and patching, or we hand your IT team the runbooks and train them. Many clients start with our support and move it in-house later.

Give people a portal instead of a phone number

Tell us who needs access and what they ask you every day. We will scope a first release and fix the price.
